At this time there are no meetings scheduled but we are asking all redemption center owners to please contact their newly elected officials and let them know how important the bottle bill is to Iowa.      Ask them where they stand on the issue, ask if they would be willing to have local community meetings on the issue or would they like to get together one on one to discuss the problems.        MISSION OR GOAL   Our main goal first and foremost is to get the handling fee increased to help us all stay in business.   Our other goals may include empowering  the DNR to enforce the can deposit legislation and the rules governing such.   Future Goals to be considered would include expansion, customer convenience, bill amendments, rule revisions, and future plans for increases. (Any other suggestions?)- Does this turn into a trade organization down the road as oppose to a legislative/lobby organization. This would be nice to know so we can plan for longevity or down the road work that will need to be done.     .
